Great weather to do some serious travelling with some very scenic spots along the way.
The hilltop city of Laon, the former capital of the Carolingian king, was first.
Then came Reims, the “Coronation City” where 33 kings of France were crowned.
Finally, I stayed the night in Troyes, famed for its colourful half-timbered houses and cobblestone streets.
Along the way I stopped off at charming villages and iconic monuments.
