First bikepacking trip was a huge success!
Took the ferry from Dover to Calais then cycled across to Dunkirk along beautiful coastal cycle paths. Dunkirk was awesome and the sun was shining. Then crossed over the border to Belgium to see Ypres, before riding along smooth Belgian roads back over to France and through Lille. We stayed just south of Lille. It was 150km. Can share the Komoot route if anyone is interested.
Then the main event. Cycling around the cobbles of Northern France and finally spectating Paris Roubaix on the side of the road. We watched the 9th sector. Absolutely awesome.
On the way back to Calais we cycled along a canal path and then some road for about 30-40km. Would definitely change that part of the route but the canal paths were lovely.
Overall a great first trip!

Mate, the photo you posted of the Lys canal, is literally next to the house where I grew up. I never thought I would see it posted here haha
