Heading to Canada this summer for 10 days of wilderness riding and would like to order some freeze dried meals to a couple friends address at the start and halfway along the route. Any recommendations for websites with a good selection? Googling it myself from abroad is difficult since I only get local search results…

Also need a few bikes supplies; tubeless milk, CL disc brake tool, and maybe a cheap repair stand.

Thanks! Photo of the planned route for attention.

Valhalla Pure in Canmore sells freeze dried food (vpo.ca).

Switching Gear in Canmore sells Freeze dried food too, but call and ask first, seasonal, right now they have winter stuff still out.

Decathlon also sells freeze dried food, they have several stores in Calgary.

I am sure there are places in Banff as well.

There is a Trading post in the Kananaskis camping spot that sells freeze dried food (around ~20 CAD per bag), snacks/candy/jerky, and ice cream.

Elkford has a great grocery store, no freeze dried food that I remember.

Note about your route, the section you have that goes on the west side of spray lakes is not an open trail, it is closed as a wild life corridor.

MEC is maybe your best bet for all of this honestly (some people will hate that I suggested MEC though).

    Second vote for MEC.

Some people will be snobby and say it isn’t what it used to be (which is true). But that doesn’t mean it’s bad, and it will be your one stop shop for everything.

  4. Plot your route on RideWithGps and you can change the map layer to google maps and see your route and all resources along the way
