There are a lot of well-known climbs around Nice, but this isn’t one of them.
The Col de la Madone d’Utelle sits quietly above the Côte d’Azur, away from the usual routes, with long, steady climbing and open views on the snow capped peaks that will blow your mind!
In this video, we head off the beaten track to ride one of the most underrated climbs in the region. No crowds (in fact just us 3 all day!!), just a really good road and a different side of riding in the south of France.
If you’re planning a cycling trip to Nice and want something a little less obvious, this one is well worth adding to your list.
