Looking into getting a better second-hand bike for commuting. I’ve always used pretty crappy bikes.
But I’ll most likely start commuting 20–30 × 2 minutes a day later this year, on very flat bike paths and roads.
I’m about 175 cm tall.

Should I wait for something better?
What should I look for in a bike?
All help is appreciated.
Edit: I’m in southern Sweden, if that makes a difference.

This looks good! Any bike will do for commuting. But make sure that the bike fits you. Please call the store and ask about the size.
People in Sweden used to have better English. Size XL or 20,5 inch might be a size too big for you. Otherwise it is fine for flat terrain commuting.
