I would say 300$ each isn’t bad for name brand bikes . Lot better than Walmart . But we can not see the drivetrain and components . Just two bikes in a shed with minimal lighting .

Yeah. This just chalks up to wear. If the drivetrain on both is in good shape. $600 aint bad. If the drivetrain is worn. Not so much of a deal.

From what I can tell neither look used much. The Cannondale is just a bit dirty from a wet ride but they look pretty new. I think $300 each is a fair deal assuming everything is in good working order.
Mech brakes on the Cannondale and maybe hydro on the Trek.
