Hi everyone!
I'm very new into biking and just went to the store for the first time today.
Saw this on facebook marketplace about 2 hours from where I live for $625
I only know so far about brands such as trek, cannondale, canyon, specialized, etc.
From someone's knowledgeable opinion, would this be a generally speaking good starting bike for a beginner? I'm thinking of asking if he's willing to go lower $500 ish…

Starting with Disc brakes and a gravel-style isn’t horrible, certainly won’t be racing anyone but this will get the job done 95% of the time.
That being said that’s a lot of a second-hand State bike. I’d check their website for sales/clearance runs to make sure you can’t get new bike bike for a similar price
