Good Deal?

I’m a relative beginner looking at the following used bike on marketplace and am wondering if it’s a good deal:

Devinci Troy NX 29, 2019.
Supposedly rarely ridden. Does appear to look minimally used.

I’m also considering hardtails as I know those are often recommended to start on. But I’d also rather buy a bike I’ll be happier with for a longer time. My budget is $1000. At this price point it seems like used is the way to go, instead of a lower-end new bike. At the same time, I know technology advances pretty quickly and that 2019 could already be a bit outdated. Any thoughts or other recommendations are appreciated.

I plan to ride within my limits, nothing too crazy, don’t anticipate doing jumps any time soon.
