  2. You could try welding it but it’s a temporal solution at best, because once welded it becomes much more fragile and will break again around the same area sooner or later.

    Aluminum sadly is disposable, once it cracks it can’t really be fixed properly, not in a cost effective manner at least, the only real solution is to buy a new frame and move all of the components there.
