absolutely fucking not lol I see metal rails break from being this far forward or back, carbon is a no go.

I’ll get a seat that is not so thin.
if you fall it will go in your a**.

what is the question? I am sure it is compatible with your carbon rails? My only initial concern is the forward tilt? You can be in a constant state of falling of the saddle with it tilted forward. It can cause you to always be holding yourself back (arms and shoulders)

The rails are too far forward. It is not safe. Why do you want to avoid a zero offset seat post if that is what you need?

100% likelihood.

I would buy the zero offset before I got penetrated. This could really injure you.

Rails will bend eventually

While I would flip the bottom part of the clamp, you’re still within the markings on the saddle rail so I’m not sure why anything would go wrong. Your weight is reacted primarily by the top of the clamp, not the bottom.

I have used my saddle like this for countless miles and no problems yet, Id say go for it.

Bunch of bike shop owners here telling you no? Brother ride that mf ignore these shitty mechs who always try to upsell shit. That’s completely fine if you ask me. But yea if you feel uncomfortable buy a zero offset

Probably fine on a road bike if you’re a smooth rider and not super heavy on parts.

I probably wouldn’t, but if you must get a seat with metal rails and flip the lower bracket.
What does your stem look like? If the right post is more than you want to spend can you compensate elsewhere on the bike in a way that is less compromising to the components. I’d say a hundred bucks or whatever it will be is not worth a potential crash from something failing.

how heavy are you? for lighter person i’d almost say why not, but def not ideal
spellegrano on
Use a shorter stem and move the saddle back.

Have you had a bike fit done? This seems like your saddle is way too nose down. Maybe you don’t need a 0 offset, but it feels like you do because your fit is messed up elsewhere. Did you set your fore-aft based on femur length and where your knee lands over the pedal spindle? Might be a better place to start… gl!!!

Flip/reverse the lower half of the rail clamp
