Hi š Iām coming here to ask a question.
I wanted to install a rear brake on my BMX. The only problem is that the hole on my frame is very large (8 mm), and the bolts that came with the kit are much smaller and too short. My question is the following: do I need to buy inserts to attach the brake to my bike?

You need a brake frame kit, the frame needs lugs that screw into the frame before the brake arms go on
As the other guy said, You’re frame is missing the brake mounts, you should be able to buy a generic mount kit online
Yeah it’s called a brake mount kit & there’s different threads so make sure it fits your frame
Before reading your post I was suspecting your problem might be tire rub. It’s gonna be close. Odyssey evo 2.5 (and likely some others, haven’t shopped for them in forever) will solve that. Or downsize tire
