RideNow TPMS1 review, a £60 tyre pressure sensor from AliExpress that claims to do what SRAM’s TyreWiz does for a fraction of the price. I tested them on road and gravel to find out.

  1. My u12 Daughter races in the youth circuit league with that Vanrysel helmet, the colourway with the pink highlights.

It's a great helmet in my opinion.. the magnetic clasp is game changing for sure! make sure you get the mips version for extra piece of mind

  2. Que suerte macho por lo menos la caída estaba grabada……mi consejo sobre el casco es que si ese te ha librado del golpe compra uno igual pero de diferente color si tú quieres, no arriesgues😅😅

  3. Would have been good to set up an old tyre in the tv studio and puncture it to see how the valve gauge reacted.
I always enjoy the face plant into the tarmac action it's the reason I subscribed 😄
The Van Rysel is well liked for the money, I was looking at it myself as a spare.

  4. Interesting, I have never heard of them! Might be a good product to buy after a few generations of improvements.
I’ve got that Van Rysel helmet and I’m really happy with it

  5. I also bought it, have it for around 2 weeks. Funny, I connected them without any issues with the Garmin, but I was unable to connect them with the mobile phone (android). I'm really happy, those sensors are working rally good!

  6. Good video!! This is obviously a “gen 1”, and I imagine that they (or someone else) will soon develop the “next gen” of the system, that will sort out all of the issues you describe.

  7. I have some Outrider pressure monitors on my MTBs that fit into the rim but can work on any wheel (needs to be 21mm internal width or more) I've just ordered the new version which is slimmer so will work in my road wheels which are 21mm internal width. They have been very reliable and seem accurate, main benefit over the ones you reviewed is they are not visible so no one knows you're running them. The aesthetics on the review items are a bit too clunky for my personal taste.

  8. I own the Zipp 353 NSW AXS and I would say, mixed results. The wheels are amazing, but the pressure sensor not so. I randomly have issues with getting the sensor air tight. I replaced everything, it didn't fix the issue, frustrating. I have less (no) issues with just using regular valves, and not using the TyreWiz functionality. However, I have to admit, it would be great to see the pressure on the Garmin display.
I definitely want to have it, but the technical implementation has to mature.

  9. It would be great if you could try the Sunrimoon S10 STARFIELD helmet and give us a review. It’s always interesting to see feedback from a well-known reviewer on lesser-known brands, especially ones that aren’t very popular yet in Europe.

  10. How do Thunder Burts 2.1 fit into the Light Carbon frame? Enough space left?

Solid review also. Would be nice to see Clik version soon…

  11. There might be an issue with threadless TPU valves and tubeless valves are often filled with fluid, I’d imagine that would contaminate the sensor?

  12. I suspect the reason they are so chunky is that they are just external TPMS valve caps for car Schrader valves with a built-in adapter and other added "gubbins." I like the idea, not sure I could live with the look though. Hopefully, they will make an internal version for tubless in the future.

  13. I wonder what the point of knowing what air pressure is in the tire? None. Since you need to pump tires anyway, every day, and have no influence air pressure while cycling. This totallly idiotic device.
