The Brompton G-Line is a great folding bike from the UK 🇬🇧 I believe we all love doing mods to our bikes as it’s half the fun of ownership that allows us to express ourselves. I personally spend as much time modding as I do riding as I resale mine often. I have came to a conclusion that nothing beats Ortlieb for me as a quality German 🇩🇪 product after a few years of this hobby and trying almost everything possible in the luggage department. The bag on the rack is a Ortlieb Trunk and the front bag is also Ortlieb (Ortlieb no longer makes Brompton front bags but you can buy their handle bar bags and mount them with a Brompton block adapter). This G-Line is quite functional in many ways and here is what has been done in general. Firstly the Continental Contact Urban tires have been fantastic for low rolling resistance and a more agile feel. Next was the chain ring reduction to 50T using RUHM bolt on solution. The roller rack wheels were changed to 100mm making the bike roll great while folded. I chose the Fidlock water bottle for easy on and off when folding or packing. For safety lights are a must in my opinion and I went with a rear mount solution and a stem mount light that also holds my phone, both utilizing a Garmin mounting. The Brooks saddle is a carved flyer with springs providing comfort out of the box with no real break-in period for me.
