Iām looking for a mountain bike to ride ATB and MTB trails in the woods.
I normally do a lot of road cycling, but Iād like to try this side of cycling as well.
Iāve found two bikes, both second-hand due to my budget (maximum ā¬400):
ā¢ A Trek Marlin 7 for ā¬400
ā¢ A Sensa Livigno for ā¬250
Both look good, but which one is better for a beginner?
And is the Trek worth the extra money?
Ik ben op zoek naar een mountainbike om lekker in het bos ATB- en MTB-routes te rijden.
Normaal doe ik veel aan wielrennen, maar ik wil deze kant van fietsen eens proberen.
Ik heb twee fietsen op het oog, beide tweedehands vanwege mijn budget (maximaal ā¬400):

ā¢ Een Sensa Livigno voor ā¬250
Beide zien er goed uit, maar welke is beter voor een beginner?
En is de Trek de meerprijs waard?

Ik heb 10 jaar op de livigno gefietst als beginner en toen was hij wel echt afgeschreven. Vond het echt prima kwaliteit! Dat wil dus wel zeggen dat dit model in ieder geval al 10+ jaar oud is. Geen idee van die andere. Als je veel over de weg fietst is die misschien wel fijn ivm het bereik aan versnellingen. Dat mis ik nu soms wel bij langere vlakke stukken…
Trekās geometry is a bit more modern/evolved. Donāt know which trials you want to ride but as soon as thereās any technical downhill involved that will really come in to play even in here the Netherlands. Also the handlebars donāt seem as ridiculously narrow as on the sensa. Both are budget bikes so to speak but the trek is more up to date š from the pictures I canāt really judge the make/type and state of the components. The sensa does already have spd pedals youād probably want to invest in those too for the trek (youāre used to riding clipped in I presume).
Just make sure the bike is the correct size too.
