Picked this giant nrs 1 (2005) up for a pretty penny, couldnt pass on the deal. However as the price suggested there's a lot of issues. Now this is my first full suss mountain bike , and I understand it's quite out of date but there are some real nice parts on it notably hope hubs, hope hydralic brakes, what i belive to be a sprayed over rockshock sid and many more.
My question is what will it take to get this back into good condition and what issues to look put for. From my initial overview, the main issues I can find are brakes need a full bleed the left one has practically no fluid in it at all. missing barrel adjuster on rear deraileur, creaky pivots and potentially poor working rear suspension. Although it does hold air but i dont really have the knowledge to know what it should feel like.
Ideally id like to get this back on the trail with many more miles to come without braking the bank but i understand that may be naive. Thanks for reading this far any further info needed just ask.
