brakes are nice ,just keep them or leave one in the front It can save you when something unexpected happened.

  2. I keep brakes on mine at all times. Im decently confident in my skills as a rider, but never underestimate the ability of lobotomized car users to kill cyclists.

  3. Just get straps. Brakes are just extra safety.

You can ride it as brakeless and use the brakes in emergency/lazy situations.

    Enjoy yo ride!!

I’ve ridden fixed on the road since ‘98 and ALWAYS ran front and rear brakes. Chains can break or derail. While the U.S. does not have any meaningful bicycle brake laws, the U.K. does – and since 1936 or so the have required an independent brake for both wheels AND a fixed-gear with a lock ring is considered a brake, but legally you still need the front one. Finally, the old guys who rode fixed-gear racing bikes on the road in the years between the wars rode with track gloves with extra-thick palms, and mastered the trick of running a forearm under the bars to lever a gloved palm against the tire, essentially making an 1880s spoon brake. It also put braking action on the front wheel, where it counts.
