Hey guys, hoping someone here has run into this or has a creative workaround.
I’ve got a 2019 GT Sensor Carbon Pro and my rear shock bolt backed out on a ride (lesson learned…), and I lost one of the flip chips from the lower shock mount.
From what I can tell it’s part of GT hardware kit K36038 (Sensor/Force shock bolts + flip chips). There’s one on each side, and now I’m missing one so I can’t properly mount the shock.
The frustrating part is it kind of feels like GT just… doesn’t exist right now? I’ve:
• Talked to a local Cannondale/GT dealer (they’re checking with their rep)
• Searched pretty extensively online, Pinkbike, eBay, etc.
• Tried tracking down the full kit or even just a single chip
And it’s basically a dead end everywhere. No stock, no listings, nothing.
At this point I don’t even care about the flip chip adjustability, I just want to safely mount the shock and ride.
Curious if anyone has:
• Run standard shock hardware in place of these?
• Found anything from a GT Force or similar that works?
• Machined one or used offset bushings successfully?
I still have the other chip so I could copy it if needed.
Appreciate any ideas, even outside-the-box ones. Just trying to get this thing back on the trail without doing something dumb.
