I picked up this frame from a pile of trash and had it sitting next to my desk for a week – bit by bit I started adding parts to it and it started to grow on me. It fits 50mm tires and that was a catalyst to continue on a build of a very comfortable bike that I might even do my commute on. I am friction shifting a 9-speed cassette (11-40) with a poor man’s 1-by conversion up front. The suspension post and stem are set hard so they only really come into play when going over curbs or hitting a pot hole. A Carradice bag on the seat, Pelago rack with basket up front, plus a little bag for keys, wallet and phone.

So fresh! I actually have the same suspension stem. Just installed it today and need to fix some other things before I can test it. How do you like it so far?

It seems way to flexy to me or is there a way to adjust it? I’ve tried adjusting the screws but it just seems to change the angle and not much affect on the suspension. Just with my normal hand weight on the bar causes it to drop
