Relaxing POV 4K urban cycling ride video in Lyon, France with natural city sounds and no talking. A nice and easy trip from the Part-Dieu area to the south of the city, in the 8th borough, riding among many other cyclists through several bike lanes, both old and brand new.

🚲Trip details:
00:00 – Welcome to Lyon
00:36 – Old cycle path on Rue de la Part-Dieu
02:54 – Bike path Voie Lyonnaise 1 & 11
06:08 – New Voie Lyonnaise 8 & 9 bike lane
10:05 – Cycle path Voie Lyonnaise 7
15:55 – Reaching Lyon’s city limits

Today’s trip starts at Place Guichard in Lyon, on one of the oldest cycle paths, connecting Part-Dieu to the Rhone river. We will join the river quays and the bike lane Voie Lyonnaise 1 & 11 (VL1 & 11), to then get to the brand new VL 8 & 9 bike path going east. Finally, we’ll take the VL 7 to go South, to the city limits. The whole trip filmed during rush hour will be on segregated (protected) bicycle paths up to that point, only the last few seconds of the video will be on a painted bike lane.

This is a POV video with original ASMR sound and no audio commentary. I only make my commentaries in the integrated subtitles, mostly about local context, urbanism, history, cycle infrastructure and transport / transit such as metro and trams.

I’m LyonFietser, French guy living in Lyon for 5 years and making videos where I ride my bike in or around the city. Hope you enjoy the content!
