I’m usually on clipless pedals but like to ride flats for park and during the winter and shoulder seasons. I had these OneUps and loved how thin they are, how wide they are, and how reliable/sturdy they are, but never got along with the convex shape and thin pins. I had already recessed the center pins using the washers they come with to increase concavity, but the stock pins aren’t very grippy unless they’re brand new, and they bend very easily. Not to mention they dig deep into your calves. I was about to sell them but saw that OneUp Wave pedal grub screws are compatible with these pedals so I gave it a shot before trying yet another flat pedal. The result is insane levels of grip, especially if you use washers under the center pins to make the effective shape more convex. Plus you get the benefit of a thin, wide, light and reliable pedal.

For context, I’ve tried lots of flat pedals (Deity, RF, Stamp, CB) but they all have something I don’t love. Either too thick, too heavy, not wide enough, front-loaded pins that are hard to remove, poor sealing/reliability etc.

Everyone has their favorites, these are mine.
