Gotta post the lows to appreciate the highs

A mid ride detour for a photoshoot resulted in my first damaged frame. Heading back to the group I was pulling in around a SUV in a driveway to get on the sidewalk. Trusted too much on them being a capable individual and had to swerve to avoid them pulling out of the drive.

Jumped a curb and had to aim between a grown bush and a short concrete bollard that opened just about a foot. Caught the bollard with my left crank and then the underside of my downtube.

I’m fine, bikes are replaceable and i’m not. Will see how this repair goes.

  1. Holdon, I thought you put the frame under a frikkin dozer’s beak and just pushed so hard until it cracked. (which makes no sense now, as the wheels would be pushed in the sand)

I’m glad you are okay. My friend fracutred his clavical when he had to maneuver out of the way because a unitlity truck cut him off – lost control and hit a curb. Hell, my back wheel got totaled because “I did not see you”.
