Just wrapped up a March bikepacking stint from Stuttgart to Hannover, and man, the shoulder season really knows how to keep things interesting.
The Route:
Started down in Stuttgart, pushed through the Odenwald, and eventually hammered through Fulda and Göttingen. Total tally: 620km.
The Highs:
Day 1: Absolute luck with the weather. The sun actually made an appearance, which is all you can ask for in March.
Day 2: A bit gloomier, but the cycling gods gifted me a massive tailwind from Göttingen to Hannover. I was flying.
The "Nope" Moment:
The original plan was to push all the way north to Kiel, but the forecast turned brutal. Cold, lashing rain, and plenty of wind. The universe sent me a very literal sign on the way to the station: a garden chair came flying past me across the road. I’m taking that as a hint. I've officially pulled the plug in Hannover and am currently in a train back home.
The Takeaway:
Even though I didn’t hit the final destination, 620km of early-season riding is solid training for the bigger tours coming up later this year. Better to live to ride another day than to get taken out by patio furniture

Quick question
Is that a riverside saddle bag with a diffrent drybag? If so what drybag did you use/volume and how did it behave?
