What happened to the person that fell 10 feet directly onto their head/neck? They hadn’t really moved when the shot zoomed out and cut.

Injured cyclist in Women’s Milan San Remo race was Debora Silvestri. She broke 5 ribs and has a shoulder fracture but is reportedly otherwise OK

the Visma gal, had fallen more or less in the same way, somersault over the barrier, and she just picks the bike and proceeds. I would just lay on a bit, contemplating life, and why am I doing this to my self.
Also, the one in the white jersey basically goes face first in the barrier, at the same time with the somersault. that has to fucking hurt.

Canadian Sarah Van Dam also fell over the side. You can see her in yellow at the four-second mark pick up her bike, but Debora Silvestri’s crash was much worse. This was yesterday and Van Dam came third in a race today.

How hard would it be to have flag people to warn them to stop on blind downhill corners if an accident happens?
