These are WTB Riddlers and have less than 100 or so miles on them.
I’m not really sure what I rubbed with my tire, but some of the outer fibers are damaged, but as seen in the second picture, the damage isn’t exactly a through-hole.
I have a bunch of those TB-2 Park Tool tire boots and was thinking of just placing one there as a preventative measure, is that good idea, or are there perhaps better preventative ideas?
Is any action really necessary at all, and can I just sort of send it and pretend it’s not even there?

I’d throw a tire boot on, definitely doesn’t hurt. I would absolutely keep doing the tire though.
If it still sets up tubeless, I’d run it on the rear.
I wager you develop a bulge over time there. I’d boot it.
I’d probably use a tube patch with rubber cement. I don’t know much about boots but that’s a permanent solution potentially.Â
Work some rubber cement or superglue into the threads to stabilize them. That will probably be fine, but a little patch of tape will really seal the deal.
Once the threads are damaged, the tire is toast. It’s the threads that actually hold the tire casing together. The structural integrity of the tire has been compromised. I would not ride it even with any type of boot.
