I’m looking to purchase my first road bike and have heard that buying used is often a more economical option. That said, I’m not very familiar with what I should be looking for when evaluating a used bike. This bike is listed for $650. Based off the condition and the price would this be a good option for my first road bike?

Need more info (year and model) but just at first glance it looks to be completely overpriced.. also hard to see from the photographs but the drivetrain looks dirty and worn… which could lead to significant maintenance costs if you can’t do the work yourself. Also impossible to tell if the bike fits you… that saddle is positioned very high which indicates this bike was probably too small for whoever was riding it.
