IIRC this happens when the cassette wasn’t tightened properly and the slipping caused it to gouge out the splines.
It’s not likely to fail, but it’s possible that it’s going to make it not shift well. I would replace it.
This time make sure to have the cassette lock ring torqued to spec.

It is aluminium, not carbon. Mine looks the same, I would not worry about it.

Yeah, that’s not out of the ordinary. Just make sure there is no play in the cassette when re-installing it.

I had an alloy Hope freehub that brinneled in the same fashion. It was a pain to get the cassette off. I just flattened the raised notches with a file and fitted a new cassette.
