We are trying to downsize and though we were avid cyclists when we were young, our health issues have made it impossible for us to bike for some years.
As I was cleaning out our basement in the process of downsizing, I found our bikes and our daughter’s old bike. As far as I recall, these were nice bikes and they are all in good shape (no rust, tight cables, obvs tires are flat and chains need attention).
Are these bikes at all desirable? do people buy not just used but “vintage” bikes? (These are probably around 15-20 years old).
Or are there “bike charities“ that recondition and donate bikes?
Any advice would be appreciated. thank you.
