Currently running Teravail Cannonball 42mm tubeless, and I really like them. I’m thinking of going to 45mm on the new ones. I ride around 60/40 road/fast gravel with occasional single track and bikepacking. Something fast rolling on the road would be ideal, as I cover a decent amount of hilly miles in between gravel segments and also ride with some roadies.

I do not believe the Terravail Cannonball (durable) are very fast, but they sure are durable. Almost 1700 miles on mine over all kinds of terrain and zero flats (running tubeless). They also last a long time as well.
I think the Specialized Pathrfinders would be a better option for you (faster tire, just as durable).
Maybe try a cannonball in the front and a Washburn in the back.
I went Rutlands > Washburns on my gravel bike and the difference was quite noticeable. I also have cannonballs on my singlespeed, love them.
Overall tufo thundero is very hard to beat, if you want the fastest and can live with the shorter lifespan and higher price Schwalbe G One RS Sounds Like the tire for you, it’s what I use for a similar road / gravel split
I like the Cannonballs, but agree they are not quick.
I think Schwalbe G1 RS, Vittoria T10 or T30, or Pirelli Gravel H may be good options.
If you love Teravail, the Updraft may have low enough rolling resistance for road riding.
