First thing my commiserations to the lady affected.
Just read this piece on the BBC website regarding bike jacking this and now feeling slightly anxious having devoted a lot of hours getting my G line ready for the warmer months and hopefully lots of good times.
Any suggestions on staying safe other than walk!!!

Yes it is there have been reports of gangs going back years targeting Brompton owners too.
Really I have only I suggestion for you – move out of that cesspit.
Thanks God I am in Japan. Still locking my bicycle despite parking at indoors parking with cameras.
Probably as likely as getting knocked off – ie not very. You would have to very unlucky – being on the exact street at the exact time in the biggest city in Europe as the very few scrotes that do this. Just make sure it’s insured and don’t sweat it.
