Hi everyone, I need some help with my new 12-speed setup. I can't get it to shift cleanly. Often it doesn't shift to the next gear at all, or it makes loud crunching noises when it does. Everything is brand new: Shimano XT 8100 derailleur, 12 speed thumbshifter, a Rotor 11-46 cassette (HG driver), and a KMC X12 Ti-N Gold chain. The bike has boost spacing.
Does this combination of parts not work together, or are 12-speed systems just always this complicated to adjust? Any advice would be appreciated!

Make sure the b-screw on the derailleur is set correctly
go to the [si.shimano.com](http://si.shimano.com) and find the dealer manual.
shimano chain is better than kmc.
Do you have the SGS or GS version as SGS is for 51T and the GS is suited to 45T
Which thumb shifter?
