My Gunnar ruffian has horizontal dropouts. Currently has male threaded axle hub and sliding dropout derailer hanger. Would the sliding dropout inserts pictured be a good way to add disc brake and qr hub to the frame. I know Gunnar partnered with paragon for many dropout inserts back in the day but can’t find much info since they went out of business.

Unfortunately, that wouldn’t work with your dropouts. Paragon sliding dropouts need a closed slot to sit in (of a specific size, you can probably find the numbers online).
You could possibly get a framebuilder the braze on some new dropouts tho, if the frame means that much to you.
