hi folks, i’ve recently been given a batavus sprint. i think it’s mid 1980s, but i can’t really figure out how to learn more about it. i’m doing a fair amount of work on it, bike rides great with new chain and cassette on it, but because i can’t find any technical details i’m struggling a little knowing what is correct for the bike and what’s been put on it over the years.
i don’t intend to refinish, i like the patina a lot. but i want to get it in condition where it’s reliable and enjoyable to ride for long rides in the netherlands. would appreciate any help you can give me. it says “sprint” and “ic” which i think is intercycle. there were a bunch of stickers from assorted bike shops.
