Yo everyone, I just picked up a new to me bike as I want to try a bike I can take to the park with the kids. When pedaling I’m getting a gnarly creaking sound. I regreased the bottom bracket but I think it’s coming from the rear axle. I’ve never dealt with a cassette hub before so unfortunately I’m out of my depth here. Any ideas? Cheers.

Is your chain too tight?
It might be because you might have a worn cassette driver on a newer chain I’ve had that sound before it will go away after a while of pedaling but it basically ruins the chain and it will snap eventually check your driver to see if it has “shark teeth” on the part where the chain sits
