This is just a lie and stupid. Impasto is an application technique which dates way way back before Van Gogh was painting. Also he didn’t mix sand or anything with his paints to make it chunkier. He used tube ready paint for plein air painting ugh I hate AI.

Ive been painting since I was a child, I’m 70 now. I remember acrylics becoming popular. I had friends who painted with their hands. DONT DO IT! Paint in a WELL ventilated environment and keep everything CLEAN. You don’t want eye, kidney, respiratory issues.
