Come along with us as we follow the Danube River on Eurovelo 6 from Tuttlingen, Germany to Vienna, Austria. We traveled alone, were self-contained and camped most nights.

The tour includes beautiful medieval cities such as Regensburg and Passau plus small rural towns, the lush vineyards of the Wachau Valley in Austria and some of the people we met along the way. The Danube is always nearby.

Video shot on GoPro 11 and Fujifilm XT 3. Stills shot on Fujifilm XT 3 and iPhones.

  1. loving this. My son and I did the French section of the EV6 in 2024, our first ever bike trip. This looks just as amazing. Thanks for sharing.

  2. My husband and I cycled around the world in 2005/2006, no cell phones, no GPS. The German people were the some kindest most upbeat people we met on the entire trip. We returned and cycle from Paris to Vienna the following year. It's so amazing to enjoy the cycling/hiking infrastructure in Europe. Thank you so much for posting this, it brings back such lovely memories for me.

  3. Hey Randy, Great video! I'm putting together a trip for my buddies. We live all around the US and every two years we get together for some great biking and hiking .I would love to talk to you if possible. I would like to know what villages you stayed in along the way between Tuttlingen and Reilingen . We've biked the Donau 3 times since 2021 but have never biked where you did. Looks amazing and I would love to bike the same route you did. Any help would be great. God Bless
