Hello friends!
My next leg is from Mendoza to Ushuaia and I’m looking for advice! This is particularly related to alleged snow blocking some of the mountain passes to Chile further south but also generally weather related and for maximum enjoyment.
So, do I continue on the 40 south through Argentina? Cross to Santiago and head south towards the Carretera Austral? Start on the 40 and cross to Puerto Montt? Open to all suggestions and opinions!

P.S. Yes, I am aware it’s approaching an unfashionable season but I am of the opinion that the best time to do something is when you’re there already! Feel free to tell me how miserable the weather may be anyway.
