Our ride takes us along the Gorges du Verdon, often called the “Grand Canyon of Europe.” From a rider’s perspective, the experience is unique. You ride along the top of the canyon, with winding roads and cliffside views. The landscapes are not dramatic while riding, but the sheer scale of the canyon is breathtaking once you stop and take a moment to appreciate it.
To capture the true drama of the gorge, I recommend checking out my short videos filmed with my iPhone, where you can see the stunning cliffs and turquoise river from above. Riding here is more about the journey, the curves, and the sense of being in a peaceful canyon environment than high-speed thrills.
