  1. Yes. That IS carbon damage. I’d advice to stop using it, repair it or send it as warranty. (Some brands have crash replacement)

    Hey, I have a pair of Hunt rims. They all come with a standard warranty that will allow you to replace the rim for half the price. If you paid for the better warranty, you can replace it for free. That rim is too damaged to ride without having it repaired or replaced.

    I wouldn’t ride it personally but the position of that damage likely isn’t at a major stress point (I’m also not an engineer…). A lot of modern carbon rims are very thin at that point
