The “shakedown ride” continues! In this video, I battle the powerful winds and rain as I make my way toward Manchester. From discovering a hole in my pannier [01:14] to enjoying the “national dish” of the UK (a Greggs sausage roll!) [02:56], it’s been an eventful few days on the road.
I eventually made it to Manchester to visit the team at Keep Pedalling for a much-needed big service. After 10,000km, the belt and cogs are showing some serious wear [07:04], so it’s time to get the bike ready for the next year or two of adventures.
Highlights:
• [00:11] Day 2 stats: 75km against side winds.
• [01:14] Fixing a leaking pannier – the joys of a shakedown ride!
• [02:45] Re-fueling with Greggs pastries.
• [05:35] Heading into Manchester for a bike service.
• [07:04] The verdict on my 10,000km belt drive and cogs.
Thank you to JT for the coffees on the ‘Buy Me a Coffee’ app! [07:37]

Well done cycling those grim flooded side roads. And those towns weren’t so clever either. Delighted to hear that the sound quality with that little fluffy Mike is just great. Happy trails.
A belt instead of a chain? That’s a new one on me – what is the benefit over a chain, if I may ask?
it's a bad idea to put forget, God and Not in a circle, haha. Nice seeing you going and going!
👍
Honestly the first time I read was "Stroke on a tent" 😂😂

Hi, I only discovered your channel yesterday and I have to say that I find it lovely to see some real world cycling that isn't competitive, please keep up the good work !
