One of the main reasons we like Ama Waterways is because they have bikes available for their guests. I took advantage of this as often as I could. In fact, when we first boarded the ship back in Arles, one of the first things I did was go for a bike ride around town. Then when we reached Viviers, right after breakfast, I cycled through the town streets and visited the 12th c. cathedral. I also pedaled over to a Roman bridge on the outskirts of town, dating to the 2nd c. AD. My expedition concluded with a relaxing ride along the river — all before lunch. Meanwhile, Pam had a great time on an excursion to a truffle farm, where she and her new friend, Elizabeth, especially enjoyed the truffle-sniffing dog.
