So I bought a new bike with plans to sell my old one. Both Hightowers. Old one is a Carbon CC frame (2022). I decided to get the old one ready to sell in the spring and noticed a gouge in the rear triangle. Santa Cruz offered me a crash replacement because they don’t have those rear triangles anymore. They said unless there are cracks or damage to the carbon weave it should be safe.

Soooo, I’m trying to decide whether to get a replacement frame and sell with that frame, sell as is, or maybe get a different model frame (they offered this since I just bought another HT). Not sure how much I can get for a 2022 Hightower Carbon CC with this gouge; if u can get $2k, that’s the route I would prefer. Mix of X01 and GX Eagle parts.

Very very tempted to get a Magatower but would need a new fork and shock. Wife probably would not be thrilled and I don’t really need it.

Thoughts?
