At just 22, Chef E.J. Lagasse has led Emeril’s in New Orleans to 2 Michelin stars, becoming one of the youngest chefs to run a two-star kitchen. Bon Appétit spends a day on the line with E.J., who takes us behind the scenes of his 16-course tasting menu rooted in Creole and Cajun cuisine and how he is carrying on his family’s legacy, taking after his chef and restaurateur father, Emeril Lagasse.

  1. I love this but it scares me too. I'm sure this dude has Michilene pedigree, but he's 22. He hasn't even had his heart broken yet. He's too young to lead veteran Cooks. Just sayin.

  2. Looking at his menu on the website, it looks pretty meh for the price. $125 just for the wagyu….I can tell you now, it wont cost $125 worth… Especially if you could goto a great bbq resturant around New Orleans and have a way better tasting meat.
