At just 22, Chef E.J. Lagasse has led Emeril’s in New Orleans to 2 Michelin stars, becoming one of the youngest chefs to run a two-star kitchen. Bon Appétit spends a day on the line with E.J., who takes us behind the scenes of his 16-course tasting menu rooted in Creole and Cajun cuisine and how he is carrying on his family’s legacy, taking after his chef and restaurateur father, Emeril Lagasse.

everyone is so young, amazing!
How awesome they let the guest come to the kitchen
how much do these guys make?
Seems like a duusch
There since day 1, still Commis.. dang
This is pathetic.
This is a leech using the experience of the people around him.
He deserves nothing.
Where do you get the money to own a restaurant at 22
Sooo he’s a nepo baby got it
Crazy confidence for that age. Also I see you Daytona
So many dish inspired by black creole culture but yet, just ONE black in the kitchen… And he is a commis… How sade!
Wow.
I love this but it scares me too. I'm sure this dude has Michilene pedigree, but he's 22. He hasn't even had his heart broken yet. He's too young to lead veteran Cooks. Just sayin.
Love this, but lets look at P&L daily… I bet this is happening to make a name for this kid. Lol, I'm proud for Emeril!
I can hear his father talking! 😂 😂
He's got such a nice and young brigade!
rocking that Daytona
It's so insane watching a chef this young have the skills and confidence of someone multiple decades into the profession.
15:02 gotta check the attitude of your worker
the clean down at 4pm is super impressive. very respectable kitchen and attitude
10:01 I love the switch up lol
There is something enormously pleasant about his voice!❤
Bam! Bet the food is worth the trip.
Looking at his menu on the website, it looks pretty meh for the price. $125 just for the wagyu….I can tell you now, it wont cost $125 worth… Especially if you could goto a great bbq resturant around New Orleans and have a way better tasting meat.
He has a bit of a European accent which I wasn't expecting
Not coming to your restaurant 😂
did he just say 'one of the originals', in New Orleans, The Originals…..
dude might be the most talented nepo baby of all time
just white and rich
Is this satire?! This is funny af
Lost me at nepotism, and Foie Gras. Think ethically, Chef.
Nepo baby of Emeril Lagasse.. no wonder so young.. thought he's some genius young chef, 2 Michelin stars at 22 .. lol
You gotta love this so don’t burn out
its not what you know; its who you know–or who your daddy is, lol
When he mentioned smell o vision it definitely reminded me of his father
