Hi everyone, my brake broke after a fall. I'm EXTREMELY clueless about bikes. Does anyone know what happened to my front brake and how I can fix it? Thanks! ☺️
Pull out all the slack of the brake cable so that you can slide the cable through the slot and then let the tube nestle into the circle from inside that little arm. Look at another brake to see how it fits.
In some crashes the little swing arm gets mangled but this one looks OK. Test the brakes before you head into traffic.
This unhooking design is so that you can quickly relax the brakes to take your wheel out.

It looks like you need a new “noodle” – the curved metal piece around the cable housing. I’ve never seen one like that before, but there should probably be a thicker bit at the end that fits into the holder. They’re cheap. It would be easiest to have a bike shop do it.

Just hook it back in.
