Lockring tool substitute for a 9-45 Shimano Cassette (GRX/XT/XTR)

The integrated Lockring 9t of a Shimano M8200/9200 12 speed 9-45 cassette requires a proprietary Lockring tool TL-LR021 Otherwise known as LR21 that had a 12mm TA guide pin, my wheels are QR, so I tried other stuff, ended up finding this 25mm 12pt 1/2 inch Socket bit at work and it looks to be snug.

Would try it out later today after I go home from work.
