More and more gigantic tankers carrying LNG, liquefied natural gas, are crisscrossing the oceans – and we’re building infrastructure to trade ever larger amounts. But shouldn’t we be moving AWAY from fossil fuels?

We’re destroying our environment at an alarming rate. But it doesn’t need to be this way. Our new channel Planet A explores the shift towards an eco-friendly world — and challenges our ideas about what dealing with climate change means. We look at the big and the small: What we can do and how the system needs to change. Every Friday we’ll take a truly global look at how to get us out of this mess.

  1. LO)L, yet another clueless click hunter. Any time a vid starts with "truth about…". "what the government/corporations don't want you to know", "few people know…" you can tell it is a total rubbish

  2. I really don't understand you Europeans.. you went around the world exploiting countries' resources and developed your own countries.. now that you are developed you cry 'climate issues' when other countries finally find their feet..
On the Global stage, we don't think Germany anymore. I guess ya'll are just afraid of being sidelined now that the world has woken up.. your currency is loosing power and your big car brands are loosing market share..

  3. Forgot to even mention how much methane is lost via flaring at well head. Reason it is burned is lack of a market. Perhaps u should go to the oil field to learn about nat gas. Monetizing a wasted product makes sense. And dramatically impacts your discussion.

  4. The problem is that the world needs much more energy than is currently being produced. Renewables can't even add enough capacity to meet new demand, much less displace existing sources. The one thing I notice about this kind of propaganda is the lack of numbers. Lefties don't do numbers, they do feelings.

  5. Natural gas, like oil, is one of our most precious resources. We should be saving it for chemical feedstocks instead of burning for power. Who knows how much is under our feet, and how often it replenishes but if we were to run out boy that would be tough times.

  6. The topic of renewables always come up as a replacement for fossil fuels or nuclear. What is the energy expense of procuring the raw materials, the production of the products, what is their energy density, their lifespan and reliability? In some areas forests are being removed to install solar farms. We are removing the most impactful means of mitigation of CO2 in order to reduce CO2. That is simply insane. Financial incentives are clearly the driving force there.

  7. 2:02 Russia would not shut pipelines, it's Europe refused to buy gas from Russia. Why do you fool yourself all the time?
Russia would be happy to sell gas via pipelines. But somewho is not happy about that, so they blow up a pipelines under the sea. Who do you blame? Yeah – of course it is Russia always guilty

  8. worried about environment? stop eating meat, stop using private jets, stop using personal cars, stop buying cars for personal use, stop using flights as much as possible and use bicycle

  9. Lng, that can't be store would get burnt off anyway. Which going to add to green house. At least this way, people can stay warm in winter and can cook. Better then coal

  10. I so much love western media… 😂😂😂 they’ll report Russia shutting down gas supply but won’t report they refused to pay and also placed sanctions on Russia gas 😂😂

  11. I do remember that was EU that stopped gas imports from Russia not the other way around. To the point that later blow up the gas pipelines. Talking about pipelines, gas transported this way would be cheaper, more efficient and more environmentally friendly. EU done a good job with this.
Not mentioned that is at least 4 times more expensive than pipeline and renders EU dependent from other countries and sea lanes.

  12. 1st world: We industrialized on the back of dirty fossil fuels but the 3rd world has to slow down on theirs to save the Earth.
3rd world: ok, we will squeeze our middle and lower class to appease our 1st world daddies.

  13. This report is extremely naive, companies and by extension their paid for politicians don't care one bit about climate goals. They do not have the will to weaken their economies to perform a greater good. Power demands are sky rocketing with data centers, AI driven expansion. Power needs are only going to go up. If needs be they will burn tires to provide the power with no regard for the climate.

  14. So the USA together with Ukraine blows up Nord Stream as admitted by Biden and Trump.

Than we were forced to like a humble dog ask the same USA to deliver us gas. They agree only we have to pay 4 times as much compared to the Russian gas.

Than the USA delays and also in several cases stops delivering the gas.

Without gas a country goes bankrupt. People die of the cold and hardly anything gets done.

Meanwhile we continue to blame Russia for all the havoc in the world. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

What we need is a radical shift. The attack on Ukraine was not without multiple causes the biggest one being our ‘friends’ the USA/NATO threatened Russia by building up a military force on its borders.

Ask yourselves who is your friend and who is your enemy.
