I don't care that much, but the shop assistant in my local corner shop when I buy water after cycling looks at me with absolute bewilderment, she's cool and I can't do that to her. Tried different helmets – I've got HJC Atara and Van Rysel Aero, with my hair both look like a second head – tried borrowing hair pins from my girlfriend, they fall off immediately; tried cycling caps, but it's already too warm for them. Honestly, what do you do?

Wear a bun when cycling. Otherwise a skullcap.

Woman with long hair here. Tie your hair up, or wear a bandana instead of cap.
I’m also sure the shop lady doesnt care at all. So if you are okay with it, let your flyaways fly.
Long ponytail with 4 smaller hair bands and a cap works for me.
Second cap and a pony tail.
I’m in Texas and I wear a cap, I don’t know where you are but it’s got to be cooler than it is here.
