I'm in the market for a used gravel bike, and the seller is offering a good price on a bike that along other things has some Roval Terra C's. There's some damage to one of the rims, happened on a ride when nursing it back home on a flat. He said he applied epoxy and thinks it was superficial damage. I don't have the experience to say. The seller says he's been riding it no problem, tubeless seal holds.

It's the rear wheel. What do you all think?

The price is such that I could factor in the cost of a new rear wheel if need be.

i wouldn’t buy dagamed carbon unless professionally repaired and VERY cheap

just be careful to make sure this doesnt happen. given how cheap it sounds, if you could get a rear wheel would be good, but persoanlly id try to see whether it gets worse as you ride or remains same since it looks superficial honestly and its the rear. its a scenario where you need to weigh your risk vs reward, ultimately from the picture it cant be certain that it is structurally damaged, but from the looks, i wont say it is.

The most valuable and underrated tool a bike mechanic has is a rag. You can’t see the damage well until you clean off the sealant.
