Bikepacking Vietnam

Hello!

I’m heading to Vietnam in a few days for a ~30 day bikepacking trip, starting in Hanoi.

I haven’t locked in a route yet, but I’m thinking about riding north first to the Ha Giang area, then heading south towards Da Nang (and maybe further).

I’m mainly looking for:

– scenic routes with less traffic

– must-see areas

– road conditions / gravel recommendations

– any tips you wish you knew before riding in Vietnam

Open to changing the plan if there’s a better direction to start with.
