Hi, looking for some advice. I have the opportunity to buy a second hand 2012 Genesis CDF. It is a CDF not a Croix de Fer. From reviews the CDF is a lower speck, heavier cousin to the Croix de Fer.
I have ridden a friend’s Croix de Fer and love it but don’t have the budget, and would be using it to get around town in a hilly coastal city with a lot of corrosion and bike crime. Plus some trails and leisure rides. Seen a lot of posts saying the CDF is great, and sounds ideal for me, but think CDF gets used as short hand for Croix de Fer so I am not sure which bike these posts refer to.
Does anyone have any experience of a CDF, especially the circs 2012 model?
