Hey guys,

I came across this bike and would really appreciate your opinion.

It’s from a small bike shop in Hamburg (CNC-Bikes). They mainly sell parts but also build complete bikes using individual components and more affordable no-name aluminum frames.

Specs:

  • 6061 aluminum frame (no-name)
  • Carbon fork
  • Full Shimano GRX810, 1×11
  • Crank: FC-RX810, 40T
  • Cassette: CS-M8000, 11–40
  • Brakes: GRX with MT800 Ice-Tec Freeza rotors
  • Wheels: Shimano RS470 hubs + Syncros ADT rims
  • Tires: Maxxis Ravager 40-622
  • Weight: 9.9 kg (size L)
  • Internal cable routing
  • Price: €1,599

For €1.6k, a full GRX810 build seems pretty high-end to me. 9.9 kg for an aluminum gravel bike with a carbon fork also sounds solid.

What do you think:

  • Fair deal or avoid because of the no-name frame?
  • Are the wheels decent or likely the weak point?
  • Any red flags with a custom parts build like this?

Curious to hear your thoughts.
